Weldsale Company has a variety of tooling available which includes the gooseneck hold down dogs, tapered drift pins, bending posts, arm clamps and horizontal clamps etc. Weldsale FlexTooling is also known generically as welding clamps, welding cubes, work holding fixtures, angle plates, box parallels, etc. We have recently introduced our very popular mini platen blocks called cubes, tombstones, towers and knees (pg 9). These mini platen blocks bolt down to a Weldsale platen creating a 3 dimensional platen customizable to your need for locating and clamping.
We have all types of tooling to fit Weldsale platens, acorn style table, and generic platens. (pg 3)
Additionally Weldsale has patents on a family of FlexTooling clamps. This is the very popular WS16-134 Vertical Swivel Clamp, WS26-134 Vertical Pipe Clamp, and WS30-134 Horizontal Mitre clamp etc., (see pages 4, 5)
The standard hole on a Weldsale platen is 1 ¾” square. Weldsale also has tooling to fit Acorn style platens (also known as acorn style table) with 1 ½ and 1 5/8” square holes. When ordering tooling please specify hole size on your platens if they are not Weldsale Platens. Since 1962 we have been supplying Weldsale platens and tooling. We sometimes will make up custom tooling to fit other size square holes on generic platens.
The benefits of Weldsale tooling are as following:
You can install and securely clamp with some Weldsale Flextooling in less than 10 seconds, anywhere on the Platen surface because of the uniform grid of square holes and our cast-in sockets.
Weldsale offers a wide variety of versatile tooling, ranging from traditional Gooseneck Dogs and Bending Posts to our patented quick acting Vertical and Horizontal Clamps.
With typical shop-made steel workbenches, you must (typically) first cut a C-Clamp in half, and then weld it into place on the steel table. When you are finished your welding operation, you normally must then knock the C-Clamp off the steel table and grind down the weld bead. That kind of work is eliminated with Weldsale Platens and Flextooling.
